Mrs P’s Super Green Smoothie

Mrs P’s Super Green Smoothie

For the last couple of weeks I have really been putting my new Nutribullet through its paces. Anything that can be smoothied, has been smoothied! It’s so simple to use, easy to clean and blends everything to smooth perfection.

Every green smoothie I seem to come across has bananas as a base….and you all know how much I HATE bananas! However, after many green gungey disasters (I urge you not to try the additions of wheatgrass, spirulina and maca powder all in one smoothie) I have finally found dreamy creamy success with this super green smoothie. When I handed my husband a bottle full of this green delight last weekend, his exact words were (with irony) “That looks delicious. . . Will it taste like a field?”. After a little gentle persuasion he took a sip, then a slug and then before I knew it the straw was being sucked clean and the bottle was empty. Since then he has had the same green smoothie every morning for breakfast this week- so I think that proves just how much of a winner this recipe is. Not only does it taste delicious but it is packed full of goodness, loaded with vitamins, nutrients, Omega 3 fatty acids, anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory antioxidants and lots of heart healthy monounsaturated fatty acids.

I like to keep my fruit and veg in the fridge so that it keeps the smoothie cold, but you could just add extra ice
